Semi-hardened malleable mush

Still haven't figured out cross-hatching. I tend to work too fast on the lines and view them as a single tone. They fight with the line drawing to define the form, making the image disjointed. If I can work them in a way that is that builds on the line drawing, the final image will be more beautiful.
